Terms of service
By using the Website or placing an Order, an agreement is established between Shukra Atelier and the Customer. These Terms describe the rights, obligations and conditions that apply to all relations between the Customer and Shukra Atelier.
Article 1 – Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following terms are defined as follows (unless the context indicates otherwise):
- Agreement: The legally binding agreement between Shukra Atelier and the Customer that is established when an Order is placed via the Website.
- Customer: Any natural person or legal entity that purchases Products from Shukra Atelier.
- Customer Service: The support service, available via support@shukra-atelier.com.
- Shukra Atelier: Shukra Atelier, registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 99819376, VAT number NL869146415B01, with its headquarters at Oosteinde 13, 1017 WT Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
- Intellectual Property Rights: Copyrights, trademarks and other rights relating to the Products and the Website of Shukra Atelier.
- Order: A request from a Customer to purchase one or more Products.
- Products: All goods and items offered for sale via the Website, including buttons and accessories.
- Cooling-off Period: The period during which the Customer may withdraw from the Agreement without giving a reason. The statutory cooling-off period is 14 days.
- Right of Withdrawal: The Customer's right to cancel the Agreement within the Cooling-off Period, as set out in Article 3 and in the Refund Policy.
- Stockist: A physical or online boutique, concept store or other retailer that sells Shukra Atelier products, other than the Website.
- Shipping Policy: The document published on the Website that specifies the shipping destinations, delivery times and shipping costs offered by Shukra Atelier.
- Website: The online platform, accessible at shukra-atelier.com, where Customers can view and order Products.
Article 2 – General Provisions
2.1 These Terms apply to all interactions between Shukra Atelier and the Customer relating to Orders placed via the Website.
2.2 Purchases made at Stockists are subject to the terms of that Stockist and not to these Terms.
2.3 Deviations from these Terms are only valid if agreed upon in writing (by email or letter) by Shukra Atelier.
2.4 By using the Website or placing an Order, the Customer agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
2.5 Shukra Atelier reserves the right to refuse or cancel any Order at its sole discretion, including but not limited to cases of suspected fraud, payment irregularities, incorrect pricing or product information, limited stock availability, or any other reason where acceptance of the Order would be unreasonable. If an Order is cancelled after payment has been received, the Customer will be refunded in full within 14 days.
Article 3 – Online Purchases and Cooling-off Period
3.1 The Customer has a statutory right to withdraw from the Agreement within 14 days of receiving the Product.
3.2 If multiple Products are delivered as part of one Order, the Cooling-off Period begins on the day the last Product is received.
3.3 The Right of Withdrawal does not apply to personalised Products or Products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
3.4 Refunds are processed within 14 days of receipt and inspection of the returned Product, via the same payment method used for the original Order. The full purchase amount is refunded, including the original standard shipping costs.

Article 4 – Prices and Payment Methods
4.1 The price of each Product is as displayed on the relevant product page or at checkout at the time the Order is placed. Prices include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs as well as any customs duties and import charges for shipments outside the European Union (DDP, as described in Article 5.6), are calculated and displayed at checkout, prior to payment.
4.2 Payment can be made via the payment methods displayed at checkout. The Customer is informed of all available payment methods before confirming the Order.
Article 5 – Delivery
5.1 Shukra Atelier ships to many countries. The current list of shipping destinations, delivery times and shipping costs is set out in the Shipping Policy.
5.2 The Customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. Shukra Atelier is not liable for delivery problems caused by incorrect or incomplete information.
5.3 Stated delivery times are indicative and do not constitute a guarantee.
5.4 If a Product is unavailable, the Customer will be notified and an alternative or refund may be offered.
5.5 The risk of damage and/or loss of Products lies with Shukra Atelier until the moment of delivery to the Customer.
5.6 For shipments to destinations outside the European Union, applicable customs duties, import taxes and local VAT are normally calculated and collected at checkout (DDP), so the Customer pays one all-inclusive price. In the rare event that local authorities charge additional fees, please contact us via support@shukra-atelier.com. Full details per destination are set out in the Shipping Policy.
5.7 Customers in the United Kingdom retain all statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to receive goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in these Terms limits or affects those statutory rights.
Article 6 – Conformity and Warranty
6.1 We guarantee that Products match the description on the Website and meet reasonable quality and usability standards, in line with applicable EU consumer protection law.
6.2 Any warranty provided by Shukra Atelier does not affect the statutory rights and claims that the Customer may have against Shukra Atelier under the Agreement.
6.3 The warranty does not apply in cases of misuse, modifications or damage outside normal use.
Article 7 – Customer Service
7.1 For questions, complaints or after-sales matters, the Customer can contact Shukra Atelier via support@shukra-atelier.com. Complaints are answered within 14 days of receipt.
Article 8 – Intellectual Property
8.1 All intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, design rights (registered and unregistered) and other rights in and to the Products, product designs, the mechanical systems and mechanisms, photography and the Website remain the exclusive property of Shukra Atelier. Unauthorized reproduction, copying, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
8.2 The Customer may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish or commercially use any content from the Website, including text, images, photography and design elements, without prior written permission from Shukra Atelier.
8.3 Shukra Atelier reserves the right to take all necessary legal action against any party that infringes its Intellectual Property Rights, including but not limited to seeking injunctions, damages and recovery of legal costs.
8.4 If the Customer submits content to Shukra Atelier or shares content publicly featuring Shukra Atelier products (such as reviews, photos, or social media posts using @shukraatelier or related hashtags), the Customer grants Shukra Atelier a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide and perpetual licence to use, reproduce, adapt and display such content for marketing, promotional and editorial purposes, with or without attribution. The Customer warrants that they own or have the right to grant this licence.
Article 9 – Force Majeure
9.1 Shukra Atelier is not liable for delays or non-performance of obligations as a result of force majeure.
9.2 In the event of force majeure, Shukra Atelier reserves the right to cancel or suspend Orders without liability.
Article 10 – Liability
10.1 To the extent permitted by applicable law, Shukra Atelier's liability for any damage arising from or in connection with the Agreement is limited to the purchase value of the Product concerned.
10.2 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Shukra Atelier's liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including statutory consumer rights in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
10.3 Shukra Atelier is not liable for damage caused by improper or unintended use of the Products by the Customer.
Article 11 – Account Use, Misuse and Fraud Prevention
11.1 The Customer agrees to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
11.2 The Customer may not: (a) use automated tools, bots, scrapers or similar means to access, collect data from, or interact with the Website; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers, or any data stored within; (c) interfere with or disrupt the proper functioning of the Website or its security features; (d) submit false, misleading or fraudulent information when placing an Order or creating an account; (e) use the Website to commit, facilitate or attempt fraud.
11.3 If the Customer creates an account on the Website, the Customer is responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and is liable for all activity carried out under the account. The Customer must notify Shukra Atelier immediately at support@shukra-atelier.com of any unauthorised use of the account.
11.4 Shukra Atelier reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts, refuse access to the Website, and cancel Orders where there is a reasonable suspicion of misuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms, without prior notice and without liability towards the Customer.
Article 12 – Applicable Law and Competent Court
12.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
12.2 These Terms are governed by Dutch law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country in which the Customer is resident.
12.3 Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, without prejudice to the Customer's right to bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence where required by mandatory law.
